Fabric Fallow is a venture that made its debut at the Wadhurst Country Fair on Saturday 27th June 2015. I was a little nervous about how my fabric taxidermy heads would be received but I was overwhelmed by the positive response and people's enthusiasm for my product. That urged me to take the next step and take my heads to the Internet.
Fabric Fallow is fabric taxidermy - each 'head' consists of a wooden frame covered in genuine tweed or other quality heavy fabric, some have glass eyes other seem better suited without eyes. They are then finished with genuine deer antlers. Antlers are an amazing natural structure, each year a male deer will shed (or cast) last years antlers and grow a new bigger set in approximately 12 weeks.
Each head is handmade by myself, I have some available to purchase now or I can take orders to make your own bespoke head. I have a selection of tweeds to choose from in various colours, if you have a particular colour scheme in mind fabrics can be sourced or if you have Scottish heritage, a head in your family tartan would make an excellent gift for a family member or as a wedding present.
